A typical WEEKDAY evening at 41 S. Sanford:)

Ian is working on spelling words - he usually also has math and one other subject. This year his spelling words are all in English - what a relief - but, he chooses crazy words like "alphanumeric." Why does a 4th grader need to know that???? Who knows....he chooses them!

Lucas was following me around the living room reading his reading book - El dia de suerte de Jorge - something about playing soccer and having the ball run into the street - that's all I got out of it. I liked last weeks better - the 3 billy goats and the ogre?? I don't remember an ogre, I thought it was a troll...oh well...I understood that one!

Kendra is working on her 15 min. of reading that she has to do every night - she is reading "How to Eat Fried Worms" - a classic:)

Gavin never has homework, but he got a new Highlights in the mail today so was very busy "reading" and finding things in the hidden pictures.

Just thought I would fill you in on our typical weekday evenings. We do homework - lots of it with 3 kids in school. There are always spelling words and memory work...spelling words in English and Spanish - memory work always in Spanish. We also do math most evenings with all three and sometimes Ian has more to do. On top of all that, Ian and Kendra also practice piano for 20 min. each....it is always and interesting evening!!

What busy evenings you have! :) It really amazes me how early they start a second language these days. I'm intrigued! -Lindsey
